Brand and Marketing Communications Trainee

Job Description

Terragon Limited is a company focused on new media marketing for internet businesses. It seeks to hire a resourceful and goals oriented individual for the primary role of the Brand and Marketing Communications Trainee. The ideal candidate must be a strong finisher with an eye for details.

Job Description:
This exciting role provides opportunities to work on new media marketing channels like mobile advertising and online marketing. The candidate will also have the benefit of directly impacting on the early stage growth of the company.

Responsibilities:
The Brand and Marketing Communications Trainee will report to the Chief Marketing Officer. His/her major roles will be to:
•   Assist in executing the marketing and business development strategy of the company 
•   Analyse, measure and report the effectiveness of our strategies in the marketplace
The role includes but is not limited to:
•   Liaising with vendors and partners of Terragon Limited  from prospecting, selection to eventual service delivery of marketing and core technical products. Vendors of Terragon would include but are not limited to the print media, artists, videographers, writers, print press, SEO & SEM specialists, event managers and other firms and individuals whom Terragon may partners with to achieve her business goals.
•    Preparing proposals, strategy documents, daily, weekly and monthly reports on activities.
•   Strategy oriented online research on Terragon, her clients, her competition, her opportunities and her marketplace in general.
•   Analysing market trends and offering suggestions on how to achieve the business goals of the company.
•   Executing marketing campaigns for the company.
•   Liasing with technical and sales units to achieve the business goals of Terragon Limited  from a marketing point of view.
•   Prepare online and offline marketing materials which includes brochures, souvenirs, branded items, newsletters, online resources, ads and execute on their usage as well as report on their effectiveness.
•   Taking ownership of the website and working with technology team to ensure that all users get the best out of the website functional-wise and design-wise.

Criteria/Requirement:
•   Post NYSC Graduate to 3 years working experience.
•   Candidate should be ideally between ages 20 – 26years old
•   Candidate must have previously demonstrated ability to deliver on time based goals.
•   Ability to communicate clearly, negotiate and broker relationships on behalf of the company.
•   Excellent written and spoken English, email and phone etiquette.
•   Excellent usage of Excel, Word and Powerpoint. A good usage of Corel Draw is an added advantage.
•   Ability to intuitively use online SAAS products e.g. CRMs, Analytics softwares.
•   A technology biased individual with a lust for information gathering, analysis, research both online and offline. A strong internet and social media usage is a given.
•   2 years + formal or informal experience in working on growing projects, marketing and developing businesses.
•   Candidate must be a self-starter, perfectionist and exhibit clear understanding of his/her personal goals and how he/she can contribute to Terragon Limited ’s growth.
•   Candidate must have insight into what internet businesses (e.g. Facebook, Zynga, Monster.com, Twitter) do and what it takes for them to succeed.
•   A Certificate or degree course in Branding or Marketing is an added advantage.
 
Salary: N600,000 – N1,500,000 per annum
